Metabolic Syndrome

2 mn read

The classical definition of metabolic syndrome is increased abdominal girth, hypertriglyceridemia, low LDL-c, high blood pressure, and high fasting glucose (>110 mg/dL)

But to a naturalist, metabolic syndrome is a condition when stress begins to show in the abdomen, the blood vessels, the pancreas, and actually in all other internal organs. Since it is so vast and shows up less in the visible realm and more in the unseen realm, it can be missed.

It’s a silent condition, developing insidiously.

Hence, metabolic syndrome can be defined as a condition (not a disease, please mark this) of unawareness.

There are two logical fallouts of this

  1. If it’s unawareness, then unawareness of what?

Unawareness of our bodies. No attention is given to self which is always a fall out of a non-conducive lifestyle.

  1. It is completely reversible if lifestyle changes are introduced early on and practiced in earnest.

*Since it’s a silent condition, then what makes it so?

It is self-silencing stress and not resolving it using natural pathways of expression.

What is stress?

Stress is unresolved thought processes initially stored in the mind space and then grounding to body organs in unaware moments, for example, during sleep.

What is the best way for stress to come down?

The primary agent for moving stress out of its inertia and out-of-mind space is oxygen. So, proper breathing.

Once this inertia is overcome and a proper supply of oxygen to the brain is established, the rest of the job, i.e., bringing the stress down and out of the body, is done by water, food, and physical movement.

So, when the telltale signs of metabolic syndrome show up, it is just that there is unresolved stress build-up.  A couple of training sessions on establishing a balance of life through natural pathways of expression will transform the individual and catapult him to higher planes of success.

It’s an amazingly gratifying experience for the individual as they discover and unravel their inner strengths and capabilities.

Come and experience it for yourself!!
